The human figure has always been a challenge for me. Probably because I have always tried to create it in other artist's styles in stead of allowing my own to come through. This is an image of my wife Vanessa, I painted this for her 33rd birthday. I have always wanted to do a painting of her and for her, as the wife of an artist this should be a given right?. Every other attempt at this over the years I thought was a fail, I never even told her about them. I hope that this piece will be the beginning of many.'
